What is JB's Record Against the Coaches ESPN Ranked Ahead of Him? (PS; Axe)
Over the past five weeks, ESPN has been revealing its list of the top 50 coaches in college basketball, according to a voting panel of its writers and analysts.
On Thursday, ESPN got to its final two, placing Florida's Billy Donovan at the top of the list with Kentucky's John Calipari coming in second.
Syracuse's Jim Boeheim came in at No. 12 on the list.
The voters were told to not consider this a mandate on a coach's legacy. The idea was to come up with a list of the best coaches based on recent results. So Boeheim's 948 career victories would carry little weight, but his team's recent successes, including a run to the 2013 Final Four would be factored in.

NBA Agent Plays Race Card Regarding Free Agency Dealings with Melo, LeBron and Gordon Heyward (PS; Waters)
Updated: On Thursday night, agent Bill Neff clarified his earlier comments regarding race and how NBA teams treat certain free agents on his Facebook page.
He noted that there is a bigger issue in the NBA regarding how the league restricts players' salaries. He pointed to deposed Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling being able to sell his team for a $1.9 billion profit, while NBA superstar LeBron James has his salary capped and former Syracuse star Carmelo Anthony stands to be criticized if he doesn't take less than his potential max deal in order to clear salary cap room for his new team.
Neff's entire comments appear in the story below.
The news that the Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing to offer Utah Jazz free agent forward Gordon Hayward a max deal worth approximately $15 million per year raised quite a few eyebrows around the NBA.
The Cavs' proposal has been reported by several news outlets, including ESPN and Yahoo! Sports.
