So is there any interest in meeting around 8pm on Friday?

Drink a few beers maybe watch a few college games on TV.

You can vote for multiple places...please only vote if you are planning to come.

FYI: "Satine" is actually Saltine...oops

Im not a math guy but how can the results be greater than 100%

Heard some unflattering things about the Saltine Warrior, we may want to avoid it.

I would suggest some place not too far from Links at Erie Village, where a number of people from the board will be coming after the Syracusefan.com golf outing. There are still a handful of openings for the golf tournament for the chronic fence sitters/shy lurker types out there.

Ahh good point..but you guys can call us first (to make sure we didn't change locale) and meet us late. I wish I was getting in before 5:00pm or I would be joining you for golf.

Trappers ii isn't far from the links

Beginning II or Trappers are very close to the Links.

I would recommend Rosies or Armory, downtown isnt very crowded on Fri nights and we should have no problem getting any game on we want.

I could go for J. Ryan's. Always thought about stopping in there. Good location, too.

J. Ryan's is indeed fantastic (although I confess to STILL accidentally calling it MacGregor's, even though it was Kelly Cole's Improper in-between names). Actually, the revitalization of Hanover Square as a nightlife destination has been one of the better stories in CNY the last couple years. With the exception of Bull & Bear and (ugh) Wild Will's, that section was pretty much left for dead just a few years ago. Now it's jumping!
Hey I'm game...to start a new poll...is it age appropriate for 30 something to 50 something year old guys?

Should be a mixed crowd, I wouldnt anticipate a problem.

J. Ryan's is terrific; age-wise, as diverse a crowd as anyplace downtown.

Admins...please lock this thread

Voters please vote in the new revised poll

I'd say the Hanover Square crowd actually skews a bit older than Armory Square, with perhaps the exception of World. Keep in mind that 35-40 seems to be the point in life when many people in Syracuse decide to stop going out and enjoying all the city has to offer, and instead spend hours on the internet complaining that "there's nothing to do in this city!" ;)

I went there on my 18th birthday - what a classy establishment.

Hater.
