Frustrated at first

I don't know about some of you, but I was getting frustrated with Babers decision making during the game. I didn't like that he did not call time out before the field goal Murphy missed with the play clock winding down. I also was angry when he went for on 4th and goal from the two yard line.

My philosophy was give Murphy time to prepare and use that time out. Secondly, I thought get the 3 points if you can get them and don't take the chance of being denied the end zone. Well I'm glad I wasn't coaching, because everything else worked perfectly. This game has given me much confidence toward this staff. I don't care if we lose to Clemson and FSU this year, I just want to see the team compete and yesterday they did more than compete. My son and I watched the game and enjoyed it until the end. I take my hat off to the defensive line for pressuring VTech's qb, the line backers for helping contain the outside run and the defensive backs (especially Davon Ellison who hits like a truck) for keeping us in this game by preventing the deep touchdown pass. Great game. Go Cuse!

The play calling down at the goal line made no sense. As I said a couple of times during the in game comments - I am a huge fan of quick snap QB sneaks. Huge fan.

Agreed. I understand we are now a pass-first offense, but when you save your only run in a 4 down series from the 1 for 4th down, I get why people are questioning the play-calling down there. Other than that (and maybe not taking one more shot with 9 secs left in the half), I have no problem with the play calling.

The hold up on the long kick was hof not getting out there quickly. Murphy was yelling at him to hurry up.

I think the second down play looked like a run pass option for Dungey and I though the run was there.
