Just go read about the BTS story from when Jimbo was forced out. Weird to say this, but a strong FSU is most often best for the ACC. But they are a terrific mess right now and I sense it'll be years before they emerge.

All that said, I can to some reasonable degree understand the covert op to attract the Lane Train to come to Tallahassee. Not because Lane is so amazing, but because he would galvanize any fan base and attract addition monies. But it failed, they've now been outed, and the optic is BRUTAL both internally and externally.

Funny part is that FSU and UF likely could have each had Lane this time last year, but FSU was heavily burdened by debt (FSU spent a crap ton of $$ on stadium upgrades). Timing is everything.
