I typically direct percentages to the university's general fund, my school's general fund as well as specific scholarships. I receive acknowledgement from my school's dean in addition to the general SU "thank you", so I know that the funds are distributed as indicated. When one of your schools calls you tell them that they will be receiving a portion of your overall donation.
