Syracuse is losing out on Aussie recruits because they are largely offering the ones with the most profile, those at the COE. You have been successful with Burrows and Potts because largely because they were not at the COE and so didn't have the same level of exposure. Theoretically the best players should be at the COE, but this is not reality. Bonnie is potentially a star in College, but she is ball dominant and not great off ball, just a good shooter and an average passer. Maddie Potts is not as good as her but she's taller and a far superior shooter, she will almost definitely be a better off ball player and you have to question what role Bonnie will be able to pay without significant growth in her shooting and passing. There are lots of Aussie players like Maddie Potts that are just as likely to succeed at College level who will not have the same level of opportunity to expose themselves to Colleges as the kids from the COE. You missed out on a good one with Somfai. but dodged a bullet with Monique Williams, I am confident to say that she won't be a good college player. The next group of 2025 recruits from the COE are largely very flawed as well and most of the best 2026 recruits are not at the COE. If the school looks outside of this there are lots of potentially really good college players who would likely love eh opportunity to play at such a prestigious program, particularly as there have been plenty of successful Australian players go through there. The school just needs to be smarter and cast the net a bit wider. There was a big group who toured the US in July with a group called AUSA and ATC Academy (Where Maddie Potts came from) and played in major AAU tournaments, and some of them clearly stood out, and there are lots more playing in the major competitions in Australia on a weekly basis that can easily be scouted. Most of the best Australian players are from a relatively small number of clubs in each Capital City an all their games are recorded and would be available to any College that sought them out. It would just take for one College to be proactive and they could get a major competitive advantage in term of recruiting the best Aussie players.
