Giovanna Burress is Making Waves in Girls High School Basketball - On New Jersey

DePaul Catholic freshman, Giovanna Burress, daughter of retired, NFL star Plexico Burress is making a name for herself on the hardwood.

The DePaul Catholic High School girls’ basketball team is lucky to have a freshman making waves in the Big North United division.

That freshman is Giovanna Burress, the daughter of Plaxico Burress, retired star NFL wide receiver, and sister of Elijah Burress, who was a star wide receiver at DePaul and is now playing football at Notre Dame.

The star freshman is averaging 20.6 points per game, which places her third among the top nine scorers in North Jersey. She is also the top scorer among freshmen in North Jersey.
