Brown announced that running back Yasin Willis, safety Devin Grant and left tackle Trevion Mack (foot) are expected to play Saturday. While he noted Grant still has a bit of a limp, Brown believes the senior will be ready for Saturday’s noon kickoff.

“Everybody is back,” Brown said. “Everybody was healthy. They looked good in practice.

“Everybody” would include wide receiver Justus Ross-Simmons (finger) and right tackle Da’Metrius Weatherspoon, who left the Colgate game early with a limp. He also said that wide receiver Emanuel Ross, who has yet to play this season, may play against Clemson.

Brown did say he expects backup right tackle Kam Pringle to play Saturday.

Cornell Perry had been filling in for Grant while Naquil Betrand and Joshua Miller relieved Mack. Perry currently has a Pro Football Focus grade of 72.4, which ranks second among Syracuse defenders with at least 100 snaps played.

The Orange is likely to rest sophomore wide receiver Tyshawn Russell due to an undisclosed injury, Brown said.

Brown also said that true freshman wide receiver Darius Johnson, who fractured his fibula in training camp, is set to make his season debut against Duke.

He also said that freshman wide receiver Darien Williams, who caught the first touchdown of his career against Colgate, will play against Clemson.

At least being beat to hell isn’t a barrier this year.

Definitely seems like we will be playing several guys that may not be 100%. I’m sure Clemson has guys too that are playing and not 100% that are not on this list.

tough to see us down two PK guys
Especially when Clemson will be missing none... ha ha.

Because the NCAA has already ruined OT football with the 2-pt conversion garbage... maybe they should give every team the choice... use a backup kicker for a 3 pt FG or go for 2. Must use a new kicker for each successive OT period, regardless of whether last one made or missed. OT 8: Teams down to TE's kicking FGs.

Just copy NFL OT and call it day. Can tweak it by allowing team that wins toss to start at midfield or something.

just move XPs in OT to the 30-40 or something. And Don't start at the 25, start at the 40.
OT1: Drives start at 25, XP is snapped from 5 yard line.
OT2: Drives start at 15, XP is snapped from 15 yard line.
OT3: Drives start at 10 (no first down without a defensive penalty), XP is snapped from 20 yard line.
OT4: 3 plays max from the 5, XP is snapped from 25 yard line.
OT5: 2 plays max from the 5 yard line, XP from 30yard line.
OT6: 1 play max from the 5 yard line, XP from 35 yard line.

Instead of a 2-pt play from the 2... how about 2 pt plays from the 25? It's all Hail Mary plays from here on out, folks! Or do you kick an XP that is essentially a 42-yard FG?
