Ok great! Thanks for the new thread!! So anyway, my theory after reading all 5 books is that the true dragon is the onion knights chopped off fingers!

Haha, sorry man. I wasn't pissed at you or anything in the other thread, I just like my GoT and TWD with no spoilers. When I saw your post I texted my book reading friend and asked him if Jon Snow was a dragon. If he was literally a dragon and would start turning into one at some point, I would probably bail on the show.

It's not rational, I fully know it. A show with dragons = fine. A show with a dude that turns into a dragon = no, no way.

I like not knowing what's happening in TV shows rather than waiting for stuff to happen. Takes a lot of the fun and suspense out of it for me.

You know, it's funny...I started with the shows...seasons 1-3. Then I read the 5 books. I haven't seen season 4 yet. I will say that the story of dragons to me is a lot more prevalent in the books IMO. The history, the signs, the prophecy, etc. it's almost "missed" in the show (or so I recall).

And no, Jon is not literally a dragon (I wouldn't watch either).

just saw this thread, as opposed to the other (containing book spoilers) one - thank you for creating! I get so frustrated running into book spoilers when I'm just looking for others' interpretations/speculation about the show and only the show...
so, yeah, I now sincerely hope that Stannis and his witchy woman both burn in eternal hellfire - and I used to kind of root for him to get the iron throne!

I wouldn't go that far. Stannis is cruel only when he feels he needs to be. Geoffrey was cruel all the time and just for fun.
