With Gameday confirmed for basketball next week, I am wondering - if we get it in September - could we become the first school to host Gameday in both sports in a calendar year? Gotta do some research.

Did Kentucky Football get Gameday last year for a ranked SEC game? That might be the best shot at it.

Edit: They went to Texas A&M for football and basketball in 2016

Syracuse football has been a Gameday team 2 times... and we were shut out both times...

October 16, 1999 : #16 Syracuse at #4 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, Virginia Tech 62–0
November 17,2001 : #14 Syracuse at #1 Miami in Miami, Florida, Miami 59–0

Ouch.

Cue Debbie Downer music.

2006:
  • Feb. 4 – Kentucky Wildcats at #8 Florida Gators, Florida 95–80
  • October 7: #9 LSU at #5 Florida in Gainesville, Florida, Florida 23–10

The way I see it, the home team dominated both games.

We didn’t have Dino or the Dome in either one of those.
