Lars summed it up nicely last week and this might mostly apply to CNY but someone like Gait was the root of the modern day game.  He's literally one of the greatest lacrosse players to every play the game.  Kids and coach no matter where they are CT, CO, MA, GA they know who Gait is.  He has a brand (even has an equipment line with his name.)
