Agreed. Yes these guys are getting paid and can take being yelled at if deserved, and circumstance calls for it. But that certainly seemed excessive. This has nothing to do with people’s perception that society is becoming “soft”.   Coaching isnt just x’s and o’s. Part of it is getting the best out of people annd knowing the correct way to interact with your guys.

I have a hard time thinking that huge explosion on the sideline was helpful for a QB playing his second game. No Collins was not performing well in his second start, but this wasn’t a situation where a kid isn’t giving any effort or is not a team player situation that may call for it.  I don’t know if he was mad because he didn’t see the open receiver or didn’t make the right read or what.   You can be upset he didn’t make the play but I don’t see how THAT be little if type of reaction helps at all. People actualy think that helps the mental gymnastics that are going through a QB during the game?  Accountable doesn’t have to look like that. From my vantage point, Gattis needs to do better than that. And I don’t know the circumstances for him leaving other jobs abruptly but I’d guess emotional outbursts and lack of containing them is probably part of it.
