Agree with all the points about the centers and Rak.  This was only an exhibition game against a weak opponent, but what these three showed is a big step up from last year.  (For Rak, I am comparing to what I saw on a televised game.)  All good.
Conversely, and keeping in mind it was only one exhibition, Kris and Brandon did not look like guys who will break out and carry this team.  Kris has the excuse with his knee & hasn't practiced.  Still, looked like these guys are the same as last year (decent starters), with the same strengths, same flaws.
CJ -- is he even close to 6 ft 8 in?  He has a lot of upside -- just think it is premature to label him "most important" or "most explosive".   I like his game a lot; he is clearly a factor, just cautioning that we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves.
Southerland -- if he is going to play, he needs to slash and finish, in addition to hitting long range shots. Looks like he is working on taking it to the hoop.   I am not giving up on him.   He won't be an inside player, but his skills might help if Kris isn't fully healthy.
Cooney & MCW -- both showed something in their first exhibition.  MCW needs to value ball security, but he will be a good distributor, showed a good shot, and showed some ability to beat his man.  Cooney -- looked ready physically.
Overall -- inside play of Melo, Keita, Rak was promising; perimeter play raised some concerns.
