Only Villanova, coming off of a National Championship and looking at another 1 or 2 seed, appears to be in a clear good place with regard to on court performance.   Seton Hall and Providence had decent seasons for them and are probably going to get bids.    Syracuse had a truly mediocre season and finds itself in a less than certain position with regard to the tournament.

Syracuse, Pitt and BC at least appear to have their financial ducks in order with places in the ACC, but it remains to be seen how SU and Pitt's basketball programs will be impacted long term by having to compete in the ACC where the talent pool is pretty damn deep.    We've already seen that the ACC pool is too deep for BC.
