Wow, a victory over a team that plays above the HS level !!! I am impressed with the effort the team put forth without Freeman. Best D I have seen all season from them. The O still leaves a LOT to be desired. The TOs are just killing us, but at least tonight we overcame them. We dominated the glass and that is why we were able to overcome the TOs last night. JJ is such a huge difference maker. He can get us the big buckets and FTs when we need them. If we can keep it close we will now have real opportunities to secure some W's with him on the court. Davis had that huge J at the end that all but secured the W. He was solid all game with a near double-double. Lampkin was a focal point of activity. He put up a double-double and played hard. However, there was a point in the game when he looked like a TO machine. I was surprised to read the box and that he "only" had 4 TOs. Looked like closer to ten to me. Bell seems comfy coming off the bench and again played well despite poor trey shooting. He had that big board at the end. Taylor is emerging as our most consistent three point threat. Hope he can keep it up. Petar is Mr. Energy. It seems that most of his fouls occur because when he puts his arms up that they are not straight up and are angled into the shooter. Come on, that should be easily correctible. Moore has got to find a way to get some easy hoops to regain confidence. If he can come back to early season highlights we might have the ability to make a big jump in team performance. Carlos looks like he totally lost confidence now that he is not starting. He needs to suck it up and earn any minutes that he might be getting forward going. There was one play when he dribbled to the hoop and could have had a wide open layup and he didnt even look up and just dribbled through. I thought Red did a really nice job in getting them ready to play, especially on D, and I thought he managed the rotations well. If we can get the TOs down to around 10 per game we will be able to hang with at least all of the mid-pack ACC teams.
