He's not an ACC pg, not close. I was all for handing him the keys when Carey couldn't do it but this can't go on for 4 years

Does Torrence get a lot of minutes tonight if he's healthy?
Definitely.

I would think the kid knows it too.

Maybe we can trade him to Notre Shame for the rights to JJ Starling.

What's wild is Girard has a very good chance of cracking the 2,000 point club.

He's a little over halfway there right now.

He's going to get Buddy like shot attempts next season.

And he has another year of eligibility if he wants it.

He should start that earning clock ASAP. Gotta be fiscally responsible, you know?

I don't know, if he stays that other year he can work on his draft position, which will put him in better position to get that second contract.

Aka the one that really matters.
Well he can learn to become the alpha go to guy, so that when that pro team wants him to fill that roll, he’ll be ready. That’s what I’ve learned is important, over the years.

Joe does have talent. When I checked recently, he was having one of the 2 or 3 best three point shooting seasons ever at Syracuse (measured by efficiency and volume). Dude can shoot, even if today was not a good example of it.

But…

It is truly insane how much JB has tried to square peg/round hole into making him a PG. He seems hellbent on highlighting the things JG3 doesn’t do well instead of using him in a way that showcases his strengths. As a 15-ish minute SG, paired with a quality PG, sharpshooting open looks off of ball movement? I think he’d be a fan favorite, even if the defense was subpar.

Instead, unless things turn around in the next year (or two), I think he’s going to have a rough legacy at Syracuse. And it was totally avoidable.

He also will draw the opponents best defender and double teams. And while he could get 2k, he cannot do the Buddy backdown, and his defense is an embarrassment. It is nonexistent.
