1). Arrogance, primarily as evidenced on the offensive side of the football where he appears to have surrounded himself with little experience and good lieutenants who do more head nodding than contributing to the game plan. Regardless of hip-hop boy's title, this is Marrone's offense and he deserves to be held entirely responsible for that boring amalgam of nothingness that showed up week after week .
2). Apparently without a clue as to how to construct a functional staff. Two coaches for the D-line, two coaches for linebackers, no dedicated special teams coach, assigning QB's to a coach with no obvious qualifications to instruct the most important position on the field. Disaster. See 1.
3). Has not taken the opportunity to hire coaches with well established connections to important SU recruiting areas. See 1 and 2.
4). Is all talk when it comes to holding himself responsible for the product on the field. Taking responsibility in the midst of a five game losing streak is changing things up, trying new personnel combinations, attacking offenses and defenses in different ways, becoming less predictable...because you are holding up in the rear in possibly the worst BCS conference in the country and because you keep losing football games.
