Where does Syracuse rank on the P5/G5 power ranking? Lower than 80th?A lot of Chicken Littles and Soothsayers on this board.
I can't imagine why. I mean we do have a record of 94-148 since 2002, and have tallied an impressive 11 wins in the last 3 years, but other than that, I think we should all feel pretty good about the direction this program is heading.A lot of Chicken Littles and Soothsayers on this board.

If by water you mean energy, then yes we are all energy. E=MC2.Ultimately, we're all water.
(I have spoken, no pants)
Yup. People here get strangely butt hurt, and offended if you dare point out that since 2002, we're, for the most part, competing with G6 schools for recruits. They will immediately point to the handful of guys we land each class that have big offers, as if that is the rule not the exception. The results tend to speak for themselves. We average about 4-5 wins per year, and are about as good as a good G6 team. Good enough to keep games close, but ultimately the more talented team usually prevails.Assuming the expectation now is 5 wins, the occasional spike when the stars align, and 32k average Dome attendance, then I wouldn't worry. Those chicken littles and soothsayers won't stick around.
Our coach has had 1 winning season/bowl game in 6 years. He's had about 17-18 players leave the program this season, is bringing in the smallest, lowest rated class in maybe forever, and has created an offensive coordinator identity crisis.
I've retired from the fire the coach business. I hope the transfer portal ends up being the great equalizer for us in terms of upgrading talent. But I can no longer find myself criticizing those who question if we're headed in the right direction with Dino.
I also know the problem might be much bigger than Dino too, but in that case, then why bother paying a head coach 3.5-4M dollars per year.
