Spartys out, might as well get greedy
This is going to be a buzz-kill after that well-played Indiana game. Back to the hacking, bricklayer version of basketball.
This game is SLIGHTLY better the Wisconsin-Pittsburgh yesterday.
First team to 40 will win this game.

If UVA loses your looking at Butler vs. Iowa State and Utah/Gonzaga vs. Syacuse/Middle Tennessee. With Michigan St gone, and a weak #3, this bracket is as easy as its going to get for Virginia. Not making the final 4 this year would be a blown opportunity. Right now they are -110 to win the region.
This is also good news for us. If Virginia goes out, the entire Midwest is wide open.

Not to look ahead, but what kind of team is Butler this year? Haven't seen them play at all this year, but are they still playing the same style as when Stevens was there? I would think that's a matchup nightmare for us, should we advance that far.

I already know Virginia is a bad match for us. My point with the Butler question was to possibly curb any enthusiasm that Butler may be the more favorable draw. That's why I was asking what type of style they're running now (since the Butler of 2010-2011 was a horrible type of team for us to face).Uh, you mean moreso than UVA, who we haven't beaten like ever?
IF we get that far, I think we'd certainly prefer to face the higher seed, especially since:
A - Virginia has had our # even worse than Pitt of late, and with more talent and better coaching.
B - it would be yet another potential scalp on the JAB NCAA Revenge Tour, should we play Butler and beat them.
But, let's take care of business against MTSU first, and worry about what comes after, after.

Bottom line - you are asking if we'd prefer to face the 1-seed, or the 9-seed, should we have the opportunity to do so.
The correct answer to this is, always - the 9-seed.
48 points in the first 20 minutes.
35 points in a tad over 6 minutes to start the second. Did they just realize its OK to score? At least its more enjoyable.
