Hey y’all, I’m new to the board. Obviously you can tell I’m a Liberty fan. I’m looking forward to y’all coming to town and I plan to be in attendance for the game this year. A couple of things about us, we are very welcoming so anyone who makes the trip will have a great time. If anyone has questions let me know I’ll do my best to answer them. Also, our board (aseaofred) is welcoming and I’ll post the link below. Feel free to come over, one of your fans posted over there so I thought I’d return the favor. Go Flames beat Syracuse!

I clerked in Lynchburg during law school. Is Country Cooking by Irene still around? That place was AMAZING.

Welcome to the board! I have found the folks on your board to be extremely welcoming, I really hope you have the same experience here.

Last time I was there it was but I haven’t been on the mountain in a few months. Looking online it looks like it is.

One of yalls fans asked about our strengths and weaknesses here was my response for those not too familiar with our team:

“Imo strengths would be QB, WR, RB and DE. Buckshot is a good qb that holds practically every record. He does have a tendency to throw a lot of ints. WR is going to be stacked when everyone is healthy AGG is a man that will be playing on Sundays. RB has depth, probably more than any other position, and the leading FCS rusher will be eligible this year (Mack played at Maine). If edge is a formula for success then our starters are good. Lewis and Lemonier are a great start on the edge (Lewis was a freshman all American last year). Weaknesses would be depth for sure. We don’t have a lot of depth behind the starters except maybe at WR. The offensive line has played a good bit and returns a lot of players but they are average at best. The secondary is okay but needs depth to be more productive. Our biggest problem last year was stopping the run. We have a lot of JUCO help coming in on that side of the ball so it should improve. I truly feel we can win the game but it is going to depend on how quickly HCHF can get the new guys in fall up to speed.”

Any idea what the way too early spread might be on this game? Gotta be double digits, right?

Road game and having to replace our star QB keeps it relatively low I’d say 8 or 9.

I'm thinking 10-12 points

Ewglenn I hear alcohol for visiting fans is kinda overlooked as long as we aren't being jerks. Question for you? I hear Solo cups are the way to go from several folks.

However, if we bring cans of beer will there be any issues if we put them in Koozies?

BTW, you are welcomed to come by our tailgate. I expect to be located in the grassy lot by the extended stay motel. Backup will be by Doc's Diner

Snowflex looks like a little bit of fun until I break a bone. No idea something like this was there

I know recruiting rankings are not end all be all, but the last few classes for Liberty ended anywhere from 134 to 187 since 2016. They are trending up. I'd equate their talent on the field and on the sideline to UConn at this point. I could see a 34 - 17 type game

I forgot that Mack transferred there from Maine. Should be a pretty high scoring affair, with SU winning by 14-17

Our recruiting classes have been slightly under rated due to the excess jucos we’ve been going after. We are pretty talented just not deep at all. I’d say the line should be 10.5 with the over under 59. As far as drinking, it is not super regulated. As long as you aren’t being a jerk you should be fine. I’d go with solo cups but I doubt anyone would say anything if you were drinking out of the can. It’s one of those things that as long as you aren’t making a scene they don’t really care. The snow flex is a great time and pretty affordable. The lot by extended stay would be a prime spot but I still prefer Docs. I’ll have to swing by yalls spot because it’s probably just going to be me.
