I think our "lack" of a big play pass game this year is mainly due to defensive alignment. Teams have seen the film and know we are a deep threat so they are playing their corners at 7-10 yards and playing safeties deep so as not to give up the big play. Morris knows this so as long as they are gonna give 7+ yards why not take that 7 and walk down the field.
Sometime soon a DC is gonna get aggressive and play tight man to man or bump and run coverage. When they do they will get burned for it. I dont mind what we are doing because it keeps the pace, keeps the other defense on the field, and burns more clock. As long as we are still scoring(and winning) it doesn't matter to me if its because of big plays or short gains. The end result is still the same.
