I wish all you guys would stop comparing other states to NJ and saying "per capita." Per Capta is not that important. You know what is important? I'll give you a hint... it was mentioned in the article . What's important is The size of New Jersey. I don't give a rats nuts how many people live in NJ, I care how close all the top high schools and talent are to each other. Texas and Florida may have 3X as many pros as NJ and GA may have 50% more while PA and OH have similar numbers, BUT... With NJ being so small, a coach could target any collection of 10 top tier prospects and see them all within a day or two MAX as the entire state is only a 3 hour drive North to South and a one hour drive East to West. None of the other states mentioned are that small, meaning a coach would have to spend MUCH MORE TIME visitng with 10 favorite prospects from any one of TX, FL, OH, PA, GA, or LA. In my opinion that's why NJ is more important than the afoentioned states. That and the fact that it's the only state of TX, FL, OH, PA, GA, or LA that doesn't have a big time SUPER POWER program that keeps so many of the local studs home. Yes, Rutgers is in the B1G now and they are certainly improved compared to 10-15 years ago... But they don't have the same "stay at home" attraction as Georgia, FSU, PSU , OSU, Florida, LSU or even GA Tech when it comes to keeping the 4 & 5 star kids home. They might some day, but definitely don't in 2013. Those are the reasons why, IMO, Cuse needs to hit NJ hard.
