Good Quality Cuse vs Miami Nov 1960

Syracuse was ranked #14. Miami was a good team. Over 45K in the Orange Bowl.
Still single platoon football.

First play action pass out of Syracuse that I have seen in a month.

Noticed a run with the QB blocking. Will not see that much anymore.

Pass interference to keep a Miami drive alive... the grandparents of today's crappy ACC refs, apparently.

I fondly remember watching that game.

Two days later, the team arrived back home. My parents took my Brother and I to Hancock Airport to great the team. We each got autographs from several players. My slip of paper contains the autographs of Ernie Davis (as seen in my avatar), Art Baker, John Nichols, Al Bemiller, and John Brown. All ended up in the NFL (although we know Ernie's story). The slip of paper with those autographs is now faded and yellowed, but it still resides on my desk.

The 9 year old boy inside of me still smiles when I glance at those autographs and remember meeting the players who signed them.

The 1992 Chris Gedney Miami game was played closer in time to this grainy black-and-white game (32 years) than the present day (33 years).
And yet ABC studios managed to let viewers hear the crowd noise in those days.
