Google News & You Tube question

As you know I use both services to put up articles and videos for basketball, football & lacrosse. Last week I noticed a change in You Tube and this week a change in Google News, both for the worse.

Instead of the "search by date" feature where everything comes out by most recent to infinity, everything is random regardless of which search feature I choose.

Now the choices are "Sorted By Relevance" or Sorted by Date"

When selecting "Sorted by Date" there are 7 different choices

Anytime

Past Hour

Past 24 Hours

Past Week

Past Month

Archives

Custom Range

None of these sorts articles in chronological order for me.

I have tried accessing Google News & You Tube in both Explorer and Google Chrome.

Let me know if you are having the same problem

I click on "News" and then on "Search Tools" and then change "Sorted by Relevance" to "Sorted by Date" and at appears to be working for me.

Are you getting everything in chronological order?

It appears to be in chronological order, yes.

Here is what I get article by article starting with the one at the top on page one

3 hours

Nov 7

42 minutes

3 hours

5 hours

1 hour

14 hours

3 hours

11 hours

7 hours

9 hours

If this continues the quality of the daily articles will go down and there will be missed stories of relevance and it might just be to frustrating to continue.

Hmm I'm not sure what's going on. I get this:

3 minutes, 3 minutes, 6 minutes, 8 minutes, 15 minutes, 29 minutes, etc.

Haha that's a little more in-depth than I can handle! I'm on Firefox v.13.0.1.

You're the best, just tried your suggestion and finally my sanity has been restored and there is again order in my google universe. Can't figure out why Google Chrome & Explorer are misbehaving.

Haha I use Google News a lot for my job. It wasn't working right for me yesterday on Firefox, but I was able to figure it out this morning.
