He must have only played with Ben for two years.

Oddly enough, just this past weekend, CuyahogaCuse lamented Syracuse losing their only game against John Carroll (which was in Cleveland in 1950). It was very coincidental to then see a tangential mention of that event in his obit (having played against Don Shula, who went to Carroll).
