At the end of the year on top of all the other impacts from COVID, turmoil, injuries, limited practice, the biggest one might be the schedule change

Trading road games with Rutgers and WMU for UNC and ND. Losing a home game with a really bad FSU team. Trading Colgate for Duke.

Crazy

Excellent reminder. I will add another point...our home field advantage is huge with people in the building. Without them...might be the difference of a win or two in the final standings. The noise level in that building can change a game.

I think the noise level without peeps is still a major advantage. Seems like the echo is even more pronounced now with the hard shell. They must have had the PA volume cranked up to 20. LOL when they tried to interview Dino at halftime and he couldn't hear the questions.

they have a pretty low limit on how loud they can do the sound, but how they measure it would be interesting to know

Db meter. I thought the NFL limit was 70db. They upped it to 80db. College is that it cant prevent the players from hearing calls.. If the officials think its too loud, it can result in penalty.
It was definitely louder than 80db. I measured 124 and 115 against Clemson, last year. 124 was for the entrance. I expected it to get louder... ;-(

You can see there is a max/min function that will store the loudest sound level. In order to be official, it needs to be away from a sound generating source. According to 24 and 7, that reading is the 8th loudest ever recorded in a college football stadium. The 124 is good for 6th loudest. In no way did I think the team entrance would be the loudest moment...

So that's how you measure db. Its a very useful tool if you're in a rock band and always find yourself playing too loud..lol

That's why this is an asterisk season... w/l matters less than experience for the players and coaches (getting better) and seeing what we have as fans.

I'm not getting to up for wins and down for losses - although winning is def better lol
