Yep, confirmed here as well. Having been to several DeMatha games this year, I always take a look and my 'eye test' would put Grant and Anya at the same height. If anything Grant seems ever slightly taller at times. I usually sit about 5 rows up from half court on the opposite side of the gym from the entrance I also thought Grant and Anya played awesome last night. It was great to see Grant drive a lot more than he usually does and show off that part of his game. Someone mentioned Grant seems like a point forward. He rarely brings the ball up the court but he is a point forward in the sense that he is always at the top of the key and I've been impressed with his passing this year from there. He almost never takes a 3 point shot because it would not be within the flow of their offense. I did notice as well he could have taken several and seemed hesitant but every time that happened, there were still 20-25 seconds on the shot clock. Jones would have probably chewed him out. Not to mention his teammates, Bell, #12, and last night Lyles who played out of his mind are all good shooters. Anya is usually pretty good with his jump hook but it was way off last night. Otherwise, he's dunking machine most games and the one sequence where he blocked 3-4 shots in a row showed his spring when he keeps his feet underneath him. No idea how in the world DeMatha lost to Gonzaga earlier this year WITHOUT Britt in the lineup! Jenkins did go off that game which I think gives Grant more props for his D on Jenkins last night. The 2nd Robinson technical I thought was a ticky tack. #12 on Gonzaga shoved the ball into Robinson's chest after the whistle and Robinson retaliated by doing the same. It happened right in front of me and seemed to me like a good opportunity for the refs to get the two kids together and give them a warning to shape up. That ref crew has been horrendous all year though especially the old guy with the mustache and the younger guy. I can't count how many terrible calls they've made this year. The place was electric last night. Great atmosphere. Big game DeMatha vs Paul VI @ DeMatha to finish the season on February 19th!
