Jerian Grant looks to be in position to head to the pros when he has to leave ND for the 2nd half of the 2013-14 season but yet he returns to ND to lead them to be a top 20 team and win the ACC-T. His brother Jermi has plenty to return to SU for his Jr season but instead ops to go pro. Did Jerian "improve" his draft status by returning to school His stats are almost identical to last year except an improvement in his Asst/TO ratio. Would Jermi have likely improved his draft status if he had returned? Did their parents advise them differently?

Good post, I'm very curious to see how folks will respond.

While I'm not prepared to speculate on the economic status of those 2 grants, the Pell grant and others certainly contributed to my economic status by lowering my student loan debt.

I think Jerami would've undoubtedly improved his draft status working downlow with Xmas. Xmas and Grant would've had less pressure on them with McCullough around too. We had 2 guards consistently working the ball downlow in open position between Joseph and Gbinije.

Grant would've been an absolute monster with Xmas and theres no reason to not believe both couldn't have averaged around 15 and 8 a game.

With Grant's raw potential and athleticism I see his draft status only improving.

Im not an expert but I would think returning this year helped him. It showed how valuable he was to ND. They struggled last year without him and then improved this year with him running the team.
