on Sunday. My biggest concern was turnovers that lead to leak outs and easy baskets for Middle Tenn. They did a great job protecting the ball in live action. A lot of our turnovers came on offensive charges and other dead ball situations and we really limited their Fast Break Points. Especially with all of MTSU's switching defenses.

Making a team like them have to EARN every point by solving the zone makes life much tougher.

also, Frank's lob to Lydon was also critical because they threw the 1-3-1 at us, and we immediately recognized it and executed the lob. I think Kermit saw that we were prepared for it and didn't want to go back to it.

Well coached, and well executed game plan.

Do we need to be concerned about leak outs against Gonzaga or are they strictly a half-court offensive team? Does their defense cause turnovers?

If the "experts" really break down this matchup this week, i expect them to focus on Zabonis /Wiltjer, etc being a big problem for our bigs DC, TRob, TL. But i wonder if they will also decide that our guards (G, TC, Frank, Mal) could be a big matchup problem for their guards?

Guess it doesnt really matter, either way should be a great game!

Doesn't matter, because Syracuse shouldn't have made the tournament

.

Reminded me of how we used to destroy WVU's 1-3-1 when Beilein was there. Alley-oops to Warrick all day.

And for all the criticism JB got for his quote on TRob , i hope those critics note that JB gave his players all of the credit for having the success they did vs MTSU's changing Ds. He clearly said they figured stuff out on the court; JB didnt pump himslf up by possibly talking about adjustments he made during TOs. He made it all about the players and what they saw/did...
