Great MCW article

Great stuff and it appears that he clearly sees the "bigger picture" and doesn't get too caught up in the roller coaster ups and downs of freshman season and playing time issues currently that a lot of kids who have been "the guy" their whole lives would experience in that situation. He will be a star here!

I'm loving this season and don't want it to ever end and who knows if we'll ever see a team this good again...

However, I'm really looking forward to 2012-13. Can't wait to see MCW play full-time and Triche stepping up to the plate as "the man" for the first time in his career. Should be another fun one.

This team is his next year, I hope the coaches have reminded him that constantly because I sorta feel guilty seeing his talented ass riding pine all year. We will be losing 4 players and everyone will count us out early next year, but I think we could surprise em all. Tons of talent.

odd... he seems to be so close to his dad and i guess his step mom? i thought she was his real mom the whole time.

Yup, MCW will have everything set up to have a GREAT year next year.

I am not sure what part of the article is odd. It refers to his mother as Mandy and that's about it. It does not (that I can see) refer to her as his "step mom".

I am talking about his dad and dad's wife. They arent mentioned in this article.

He is always talking to those 2 on twitter. I just assumed his step mom was his real mom the entire time.

thats the odd part to me. I was just surprised that my stalking abilities werent up to par.

75-69. 75-59. Whatever... indisputable, easily checked facts are hard to get right.

This is at least the 3rd Article he has said the same thing.

especially in this case. Proofreaders love the english language, not sports.

Yeah I always thought the same. I met them at the Jordan Brand practice last year, very nice people.

great article..

still would like to see MCW get a few minutes in a NCAA tourney game.. oh well

Here's where the Scoop leadership thing helps, Scoop isn't just saying be patient, he lived it and proved it. It does take a mature person like MCW to recognize that and I understand his frustration, it isn't easy when you know you're better than a lot of people out there starting (not on SU necessarily) but on other good teams. Players talk a lot of crap and I'm sure he's getting his balls busted by other players or hearing why the heck aren't you playing...it shows me a lot that he's still in it for the team. He has to be ready too, you never know when he'll be put out there.

If MCW finds another gear in the offseason he could be the best guard in the country next year.
The guys is a absolute stud. I personally think is going to be one of the top 3 passers ever at syracuse.
I expect him and Sherm to be known as the two best passers of all time at syracuse near the end of next year.

He has Rajon Rondo potential with a better jumpshot.

“You don’t know with Coach Boeheim if you’re going to play one game and play 20 minutes, then the next game you don’t get off the bench. It’s tough. You try to figure him out, but it’s tough.’’

I don't care for this quote too much. Depending upon who's reading it, it could come across that Boeheim either misleads young players or doesn't communicate with them at all.

But all in all a good article, a great kid and he will be well rewarded for his sacrifice next year.

I have to agree with you. It really isn't his job to figure out JB, it's MCW's job to be ready to play. He's just a turned ankle or early foul trouble away from having to play critical minutes in the NCAAT.

well, any such group that doesn't include "Z" Sims is a bad list.

Z would be right there with Sherm on the all time assist list if he got consistent playing time before his SR year. Dude could really pass the ball; totally under appreciated.
