from Waters' article today:

Wright said Boeheim’s Syracuse teams are the one constant in the Big East.
“This is one of his best teams,’’ Wright said. “ I’ve said that three or four times in the last seven years. It’s amazing what he’s done the last couple of years. Jim Boeheim is Mick Jagger of college basketball. He gets cooler as he gets older.

:D

That is a funny quote. But Mick gets older as he gets older, just not at the same pace as Keith

So is Bernie Fine Keith Richards...or Charlie Watts?

What I've noticed is that JB seems to smile a lot more on the bench these days then before. He seems more relaxed ... perhaps because the team is just playing well together ... or has JB just changed with the times?

Given his apparent/alleged penchant for much younger playmates, I'd say he's more Bill Wyman. That and, like Billy Wyman, while all along he was thought to be a mainstay, once he was gone, nobody really missed him.

Jay is confused . . . the last 7 years? The last 4 years have been excellent, but every SU squad the three years before that were NIT caliber

We commented on that twice during the Marquette game. Such a rare sight... and to see it twice in one game.
It looked like he was smiling at a player each time, as if he was pleased with how that player was playing leading up to the timeout.

Then again, maybe he just had a good night's sleep.

Indeed. Not deep into it, never mail ordered DVDs and the like but had the Commercial Album when it first came out and got pretty into them for a while. Cool artists, cool story/mythology.

JB said we wanted ACC level recruits now we are getting them!! Hes going to be smiling for quite some time :D

JB is one of the most influentual people in NY ever. He has done so much.

yeah, I love 'em but never got deep into them either. Have maybe 6 of their albums - got to see them perform about 10 or so years ago, really good show.
(the Commercial album remains one of my all-time favs)

Really would like to see them live. Wonder if I missed anything from the Flynn/Fox/Clem/Kennedy years. Maybe not; Homer and Hardy seem to be the creative force(s) behind the whole thing. They're fun, they're unique, and your the first fan I've met in a long, long time!

Is there any SU fan that doesn't really like Jay Wright? I like him even more after easy SU wins. I like him much less than my wife does though. "Ooo I forgot how handsome the Villanova coach is!"

This morning I started a new feature called "Game Quotes" I have Wright's comment as his best quote of the night.

After doing all the articles I started reading threads and was pleased to see someone else pick up on that.

Jager is 16 months older than JB the pair of them are like fine wine's.

Jager killing it at the Grammy's at 68, amazing

mick's doin' a masterful job of keepin' on keepin' on. i like the disc he did with his "new band," superheavy (dave stewart, joss stone, damian marley, and a.r. rahman).

Jim Boeheim is Mick Jagger of college basketball. He gets cooler as he gets older.

That is because

He doesn't need to try to control you
Look into his eyes and he'll own you
With the moves like Jagger
He's got the moves like Jagger
