Great time for a bye for all of us, especially for those fans who attend every game and who even travel to the away games. This is frustrating. For the guys playing banged up it's a chance to heal, and maybe some of the guys who are out can return. The injury report is unusual for sure. Hard to say how much the schedule is a factor. This is taking nothing away from Duke's great season because Duke is a good team and Duke's coaching staff does a great job, but when I compare Duke's schedule this season to SU's schedule it's obvious that SU's schedule is different on a few levels. A few differences include the OOC schedules, the timing of the byes, and the Coastal versus the Atlantic. I'm going to assume that Duke has played 3 teams coming off of a bye week the way SU has because I don't have time to check that. It's not just comparing SU's schedule this year to Duke. SU's schedule this season compared to a lot of other schools is probably different. If making a bowl game is crucial SU simply needs to schedule differently. A lot of it is out of SU's control, but SU can certainly helps it's own cause in some ways too.
