When you look at the success that Dino had prior becoming SUs head coach its obvious that some of it is attributable to his scheme being difficult to plan against. At his previous stops it was 2 years and gone. Teams didn't really have a chance to establish a solid book on how to stop his style and speed of play. This year we crashed. Out of the many reasons, weak OL, inexperienced QB, injuries to key players... I think that we also fell victim to familiarity. Teams have a book on Dinos O and without Erics improvising we have become predictable and easier to defend. Bailey's recent Pod C speaks to this. Specifically the WR routes being stale and predictable. Dino loves his phrases and analogies. Lets hope this off season he focuses on creating some new wrinkles and schemes not just as a result of a new DC but hopefully across the board and his team is green and growing again next season.
