Been expecting this one, he started canceling and postponing a lotta shows after playing here last summer at Eastman Theater for the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival. My buddy who runs the jazz fest hooked me up with a couple of sweet ducats, I was thinking that night that it might last time I'd see him.

Sad to see him go, but so grateful I got to see him as much as I did. And we have his decades of recordings to listen to. Now I'm going to go tie myself to a whipping post.

I went to college in Macon and a lot of the students used to go up to Rose Hill Cemetery and frequent the grave site of Berry Oakley and Duane Allman

The first year I was at SU (early 70's) this was the first album that I bought at the bookstore for my low end stereo system.

I've still got it.
