Does anyone else wonder if we would be in the same "rotating door of quarterbacks" mess if Paulus hadn't used his final year of eligibility to take all the pressure off Nassib that first year with HCDM? Instead Nassib came in and got some game time experience, and looked like the clutch-play savior on third downs and whatnot, while all of the fans' ire was directed toward Paulus when things went wrong.

Does anyone else wonder what role that relief has taken on his confidence and composure in games now? And how much credit does HCDM get for that "strategy" of QB use his first year in?

it's not at all a greg vs. ryan thread...it's a "we threw greg to the wolves to save ryan, and rightfully so" thread. in no way did i ask for or expect any comparison, i don't think anyone would argue for paulus over nassib, but putting nassib in that first year would have been akin to an NFL coach putting a rookie QB in the first game after he was drafted and expecting him to step up...it is only a position of potential success for the elite
