I came across this on You-tube and put it on, (it’s a little over an hour) while doing other things. It’s a panel discussion on radio done in 1961 about the state of television. It also includes Robert Young and a TV critic. The moderator is George Fenneman. There’s a lot of silliness in the first few minutes but it settles down to a pretty interesting discussion about the sate of the medium in 1861, which sounds a lot like the state of the medium in 2024, despite all the changes. There’s a lot of calm, serious, intelligent statements as they go along.
