I am sure Hoo's That will be here in less than 3 minutes to refute this, but I think we were a slightly better team. We scored 100 more points in the same amount of games. The two defenses are remarkably similar, perhaps with a slightest edge to UVa (the 62-point ACCGC skewed things a tad).

The biggest difference is UVa won their division (we gave Clemson a very real run on the road last year) and got to Charlotte for the ACCCG. This might be too harsh, but UVa was the tallest midget in the Coastal this year.

Beyond that, our timing last year was poor, in that the Orange Bowl hosted a National Semifinal, thus relegating SU to the Camping World Bowl. SU earned a NYD Bowl bid last year, but it did not come to pass due to a flawed ACC bowl contract.

If the Cavaliers can best Florida, they could have an argument. I don't see that happening, however, as they are 13-point dogs.

Remember, SU finished last season ranked No. 15 in both polls.
