I love listening to him. He is jacked up calling the USC-Stanford game. He makes everything more exciting. Big mistake by CBS... He will be missed, especially during March Madness.

God, now I know you've lost it. Anytime Gus is on I either don't watch or I mute it. Listening to him call the Knicks game took away all his credibility. Knicks would be down 20+ with 1 minute left in the game, Marbury would drive past some practice squad bum and Gus would go crazy. "Did you see that, Marbury does it again. He is an amazing pg, he is learning a lot being around Isiah Thomas". His voice makes me sick to my stomach.

He has his detractors. Sports should be exciting and fun. Gus brings energy, passion and knowledge too. To each his own.

No doubt, had I not listened to his "excitement" during 20+ blowout games with the Knicks I would probably like him.

Gus Johnson is one of those announcers that I initially liked but then he became old, similar to Dickie V. I appreciate the excitement, but he gets excited when it's not warranted. He's become the boy that cried wolf to me.

Could Turner hire him for their portion of the NCAA tournament? Or would they be worried it might piss CBS off. Would be a way for him to get back into March. If not there's always the cbi or something tournament

Were talking commontators here, not ex-girlfriends. Why would CBS get pissed.
