The NFL began exporting its product to Europe and the British isles back in the 1980's. They've been doing London games for years but still haven't placed a team permanently there. At one time back they had "The World League of American Football", which was a sort of minor league for the NFL but was supposed to introduce the sport to the continent and see what the potential was for the sport there. That went out of business. I recall reading that its fans were more mostly American soldiers stationed in Europe. Now they are sending Tom Brady to Munich. What's it all supposed to lead to?
