So West Virginia's invitation is contingent upon being available in 2012. This keeps getting juicier.

So they are going to try their damnedest to get out ASAP. BXII knows it can't keep Mizzou one more year.

This entire situation couldn't be working any better for Syracuse. TGD has taken the High Road and not made any public comments against the Big East or other schools.

WVU's strategy is to burn all their Big East bridges with this battle for early dismissal. We can watch from the sidelines and piggyback onto whatever agreement is reached. After this mudslinging contest is over, no Big East team will schedule WVU again in the near future.

Meanwhile, Rutgers and UConn are left to fight it out in this reconstituted Big East/West conference against teams they have absolutely no history with.

ugh...doesnt help WVU negotiations and certainly not 'Cuse's either...$$$$just got larger to reduce the 27 months

wonder if 'Cuse and Pitt indicated to BE they would play fair if something could be worked out...wink, wink...after other schools come in...WVU may have jumped the gun on negotiations since it placed BE in further mess to add teams

Don't see that it hurt Syracuse at all. SU/Pitt and the ACC had agreed from day 1 to play by the BE rules. Nothing has changed.

Now...if the Big East brings in more schools than it has spots for, then certainly SU/Pitt and the ACC would consider leaving early.

I don't agree.

Lawsuits get backs up and I'm sure the BE Backs are way up right now.

Trauma is never a good thing.

So, I don't see this as a benefit to SU.

Didn't see jr's post on this, sorry for the dupe
