240 years ago our beloved corps was born. Throughout the years, we have all served proudly along side others in every clime and place where we could take a gun. We learned some things that we took to civilian life such as the 13 leadership traits (JJDIDTIEBUCKLE) or the 6 troop leading steps (BAMCIS) and some things that just randomly we remember such as who was the first Marine Corp aviator? (AA Cunningham). Today we remember not only our service but those in the past- The Chesty Pullers of history who bravely and at times sacrificed their lives for the country in which we hold dear. Whether you liked or hated your time in, there is no doubt that it impacted your life forever. The Marine Corps is the only service where your never a former Marine-you earned the title and it is yours forever to keep. Remember, if the army and the navy ever look on Heaven's scene, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines! Semper Fi and enjoy your day!
