I mean wow. He played like a youth league kid out there tonight. Symir earning more me and Cole earning less. I have no problem pushing Buddy to back of the zone because we aren’t stopping anyone anyway.

He has his moments and has kept us in some games. Tonight wasn't pretty for him. Symir earned his minutes in the lineup. Very happy with the substitution pattern tonight.

I feel like he would be a better player is he didn’t think he was a shooter. Take three or four wide open catch and shoot threes only. Step back, fan dribble, pump fake and Harden threes are a no-no.

Three plays in a relatively short period really made me wonder about Cole. When the ball was stolen for the dunk, when he helped break the press and he passed the ball to Jesse (when he didn't have to) and when he passed in to the backcourt after showing some hustle going after the ball. When the ball was stolen, I just couldn't believe that he was completely unaware of what was going on around him. When he passed to Jesse, he should have understood that Clemson was going to foul. He needed to keep the ball in Joe, Buddy or his hands only. And the backcourt, I knew he was going to do it, but it shocked me at the same time.

We are seeing what kept him off the floor at Nova. He lacks awareness in certain situations and is not comfortable with the ball in his hands unless he’s 25 feet from the basket. The mistakes he makes seem to be mostly mental.

I think our whole team is overconfident in their shooting prowess. I also think the brothers B, Cole and Joe count points as they play and that is dangerous. They definitely count shots as you can tell clear as day when any of the 4 is hell bent on getting a shot up. They all telegraph it the minute the ball touches their hand.

Joe is actually leading the ACC in 3pt shooting percentage.
If he could spend more time off the ball I would like him shooting.

Cole Swider is a 18 MPG a player. The fact that he's playing 34 MPG speaks to Jim not being able to construct a roster or being able to manage the one he has. Jimmy, Cole and JG3 are fine players. They have roles on a roster, but they are being forced into roles that they do not fit. This is not the fault of the player. This is the fault of the man in charge

Good post. Last night the team seemed to move the best with Symir on the floor. Folks are concerned about his free throw shooting but I feel it is not as bad as it first appeared.

Regarding Jimmy's bad shots, t seems like in the last few games both he and Buddy have taken shots that completely miss iron. Not sure if too far out or possibly getting deflected slightly.

Jimmy’s used best when they ball screen him to the left block. He can drive for his righty hook or find someone. He shouldn’t do anything else on offense.

unfortunately he's in the group of players that won't get yanked for those awful shots.

Was hoping for more from him, but at the very least gives great hustle when he's out there. Also gives very demonstrative hand claps whether he makes a good or bad play.

I like his attitude and intensity and forgive the gaffes. I think of him as if he’s a freshman. He’s a frosh to us. He will get gooder.

What is Cole doing? Giving you everything he has every single night. He has obvious limitations, but I struggle with takes like he played like a "youth league kid."

Cole has done some nice things for us. He's better than I expected based on what I saw of him in a Nova uniform. His offensive game is a little more varied than he showed at Nova and I didn't expect him to get more than about 4.5 boards a game. That said, I need someone to explain why he just flatout falls down at least once a game?

Not always pretty but he is our rebounds leader. He works hard and can hit a three sometimes. He's a good player. Glad we have him
