but this is the fifth straight year that SU has made the NCAA tournament . . . it's the first time we've made 5 straight appearances since a 10 year run from 83 to 92. Seems like SU is in the tourney every year, but they tend to stub their toe every few years.

Our tournament record during this run is sitting at 9-4. Our best 5 year record is 12-5 from 86 to 90, which included runs to the title game, elite 8 and sweet 16 plus 2 second round losses.

only probation in 1993 broke that 10 year run. After that the four times SU missed were due to a Burgan suspension, DeShaun Williams, selection committee screw job, and massive injuries.
