The 93 game is on replay on time warner sports.

#6 SU at unranked texas. Big game at UT - big game for both teams.

SU with marvin graves, david walker, marvin harrison, Sir Mawn Wilson etc

SU misses a FG with 10 seconds from the 16 yard line to go and it ends a tie.

Disappointing season as SU was a coming off a 10-2 year and a Fiesta Bowl win, but a great time to be an SU football fan

Remember it well, was my Junior year at SU. At that time all we knew was winning and UT seemed archaic and behind the times. During my Freshman and Sophomore years SU had beat Florida, Texas, Ohio State, Colorado, not to mention beating teams like BC, Pitt, MD and VT like a drum. Only losses were FSU, ECU, OSU and Miami. It was quite a stretch. '93 and '94 weren't so great and were beginning of the downturn, which I believe was delayed for a few years by Donovan McNabb and resumed when he left.

I remember being pissed it ended in a tie ..,"Texas blows".

College football overtime was 9 years too late.

Stinks I missed this one. I was able to dvr the East Carolina game (thurs espn) and Cincinnati. Looking forward to watching them.

3 years, actually. College OT started in 1996. Our first OT game was against NC State in the Dome in 1997.

I thought he was referring to the 87/88 Sugar Bowl.

I'm glad I can go back to thinking that Mac Brown sucked.

He's proof that anyone can succeed with a good QB in the shotgun all day

If the high water mark of the modern era in SU football was 1987-1992 (Undefeated in bowl games. Three 10-2 seasons and another undefeated one on top), this was the very first What loss after the peak. SU was ranked sixth coming into the game. A combination of bad luck and mental errors did us in. The tie definitely felt like a defeat, which is crazy given the opponent.

That whole season felt like a What. I was a young and emotional fan at the time. I remember blaming Graves for much of it. That season hurt my perception of his legacy. If I were to experience that season now through more mature eyes, would I feel differently?

didn't SU play at Texas in 1993 and 1997 while hosting the horns in 1992? Nice 2 for 1 there Jake
