Everyone knows JB runs fewer guys off the bench as the season goes on.

Only 7 guys played yesterday. And one of the two bench players got two minutes of action.

I doubt the starters are relied on that much for the rest of the season, but do you think we’ve hit the point of the season where JB starts to shorten the bench?

Yesterday was also kind of an outlier considering the lack of foul trouble, but I think we’re very close to the full time 8 man rotation.

It's hard to shrink what's basically a rotation of 1.
But if anyone can do it...Jim Boeheim can.
At least until (if and when) Bourama Sidibe returns.

Yesterday was mostly fine IMO, because it was a game where Marek at the 5 was a plus for us. Woody’s health issues seem to have taken him out of the mix.

Other than thinking Kadary should be playing at least 25, I was ok with the main 6 yesterday. Most of them played very well and we got a huge win, so it worked.

Going forward there will surely be games where the centers need to play more.

*I have no idea what to make of Braswell this year.

I think you’ll continue to see Jesse Edwards and one of either Woody or Braswell as the season wears on. We’ll need Edwards in the middle against bigger teams and Woody and Braswell if Q or Alan or Marek gets into foul trouble or happen to be struggling. It sounds like Woody has been trying to get back into game shape after dealing with Covid.

i was totally fine with how the minutes played out yesterday. with so many lost practices and the time off i think it will be important to make sure the guys we're going to depend on the most play more than usual.

VT is one of the few teams we're going to be able to bang on in the paint without racking up fouls to make that possible

It’ll be entirely matchup dependent. Against bigger front lines you’ll see more of Edwards, and less of Buddy at the 3

Y'all are hilarious.

It's a 6 man rotation.

The only other way a guy beyond the main 6 gets in is if one of the main 6 are in foul trouble.

That's it.

We can rationalize it any other way we'd like, but this is where we are. This is what we are. Again.
