But props to Villanova for knocking off the over all #1 seed Kansas. Watched the first minute or so of the game and Vil looked so bad, didn't mind switching to something else. Happen to turn it on at half time and was surprised to see they lead. Then watched the last minute. Not a fan of Wright but he has finally put together a whole team. I really thought that this maybe the first time that all the #1 seeds make it. Now there is hope that none do.

I think most people on here respect Nova and Jay Wright. At first I didn't care who won but I definitely found myself rooting for Nova. Old Big East vs Kansas. Definitely.

I really like Jay Wright. When Rollie Massamino was there and won the NC, he decided that Villanova was too big for the Big Five, and did damage to the great Philly tradition featuring 'Nova, Temple, St. Joe's, LaSalle, and Penn. Jay Wright came in and help resurrect the rivalries. I grew up in the area, loved the Big 5, love the Palestra. I don't think there's anything remotely dislikable about Jay Wright and his program. If we don't win it, I hope he does.

I am glad that Kansas lost. They are more overrated than any team, in my opinion. Routinely, they are projected as the preseason favorite to in it all. Routinely, they fall apart in the tourney. For such a great amount of great publicity, hoopla and general high praise, they should have much more hardware to support the annual love fest.

Add to that the fact that the Big 12 is usually full of automatic wins and Kansas generally refuses to play the best of the best traditional powers, they deserve the right to be bounced by anyone and everyone. I would not be so harsh on them if they had great competition from the Big 12 year in and year out, but I simply am not impressed. Yes, this season was a good season for the Big 12 but it does not make up for the Kansas love when there are many more deserving teams.

As for Nova winning, I am glad. I always liked Rollie, he was a good show when his team was playing. It was easy to dislike JT/Georgetown, they were the hated team. Nova was generally a good game to watch.

Obviously, this is my opinion, so people are free to take it or leave it.
