Hats off to Moontan

The owner of one of the great names on this board organized a great tailgate. Due to the long drive and my kids soccer practice on Friday night, I was at the tailgate for only a few minutes. Still, it was great fun reconnecting with Jarhead, Sarasota Paul, and Pitkonen, a poster whom I know better by his real name rather than his current handle.

Good job Jurrie.

Onto the game. Was this the worst loss in Syracuse's history?

Literally every play was kick in the nuts. Interceptions, dropped passes, penalties, blocked punts, beat deep, crushing hits, broken legs, SU players goofily juke jive dancing pre-kick down 0-49. What?!

The Tech fans were polite, so, there is that.

Shafer is worse than Gump at this point. Time to spend that ACC cash and bring in a real ball buster. Our players need to be disciplined and focused,not coddled and buddies with the coach.

Also many kudos to Moontan -- great job with the tailgate - It is always great to reunite with board members at events like this and meet new ones.

As for the game - they called it a game I guess - What I saw was a need for bigger , faster more talented players. Even the egomaniac Steve Spurrier has finally admitted that he was a great coach when he had great players.

And having watched Ga Tech for years, if you can't stop the fullback dive, and we couldn't, forget it. Their lineman are built for speed and they were still bigger than we were. Not a good combination for victory.

Jurrie...great job with the organization. The tailgate sounded like it went well too. As much as I hate that offense GTech runs...I'd love to play GTech every year. Great road trip.
