Two much maligned units--and justifiably so--all season long.

Both really stepped up yesterday. Not that the OL was perfect by any means, but they did yeoman's work against a heavy pressure VT defense.

And speaking of defense, ours is really showing improvement now, game over game. Not that they are the '85 Bears, but the improvement is palpable. They must be getting more comfortable with the scheme, because they're playing "faster." And not that having Coleman suspended for a half was good, but De'jon Wilson had a terrific game, and he probably wouldn't have gotten the start if not for Coleman's suspension. Kid played out of his mind.

I noticed Coleman started the second half and VT took advantage. Wilson did his job and that will help Coleman understand by example what needs to be done and when.

I think they cut down on a lot of the mental stuff on D. When they got beat on a pass it was largely due to a great play by the QB or WR. Sometimes that happens.
