Hats Off to the OL

1 sack in 3 games. 265 rush yards per game. 457ypg total. Can't do any of that with a poor OL. Would like to see Foy not jump quite as much, though.
Foy is terrible. He needs to be replaced.

Foy and Parris were not exactly stellar yesterday. When they ran on his side Foy played well, but otherwise not so much. Parris was rusty.

We had three drives killed by OLine penalties alone. Parris, Foy, Hickey/Foy and Robinson all had drive killing penalties. Not ready to give them helmet stickers for that effort.

The whole team has Jekyll and Hyde syndrome - one series they are Dr Jekyll and the next Mr Hyde. Hopefully, they will get more consistent as the season unfolds.

The OL played very very well Saturday

14 possessions, 5 trips to the red zone and 4 scores (3 from the red zone).
370 yards rushing
219 yards passing
589 total yards
1 sack
2 rushes
8 penalties for 69 yards - 5 on the O Line

2o points - 7 in garbage time

We played great between the 20's. Otherwise not so much.

And that one sack was on a fourth down play where you could argue Hunt shoulda/woulda/coulda just thrown it up for grabs no matter what.

Classic thread.

OP: hats off to the OL! Ballin.

2-3 responses: we suck. Replace so and so.

Love to revisit all the calls for Joe Adams head 3 weeks ago.

---

We have a few issues, but OL isn't one of them. That bodes well for some wins this season.

Nobody called for his head. I said he would be under a microscope because of his background and our performance against Villanova. The unit responded nicely and he deserves credit. Hunt could have taken a nap with the time he had to throw yesterday. Hickey has played as advertised. I have no clue what orangeauburn is watching

We had a few really unfortunate penalties (Foy hold on Hunt's TD), but overall it was a good performance. One sack through three games is impressive, no matter who we've played.

I read here just a few weeks ago that Joe Adams was in over his head, no experience, etc didn't know what he was doing.

this has got to be one of the most misleading stats i have ever seen. they were manhandled vs Nova and i wonder how many of those yards are from Hunt when he scrambles for his life. We have also played a high school team, a MAC team and a Maryland team that cant stop anyone.

i fear when we play a real team we will struggle to score 10 points.

All I know is on multiple pass plays Hunt had plenty of time to throw so they were pass blocking effectively

I agree. We should make Hunt stand still so we have a more accurate gauge of how the line is playing.

Or

We could watch the games, see the holes open up everywhere and watch Hunt run based on the play-call. You can't fault them for the schedule - they played great in the last two and weren't as bad as people suggested in game 1 (missing starters and playing out of position).

Absolutely. Remember that MD did not blitz very often and rushed 3 many times. However, they did a great job on pass protection.

Nova is the best team we've played thus far
