Have the Bills Held a Presser or Anything of the Sorts?

Maybe because it is Sunday they can not announce it until Monday? IDK

No announcements yet... Must be hammering out the contract..

What gets the lead story on the TV in Buffalo tonight. Marrone gets hired or the NHL strike is over.

I'm not entirely sure the Bills heard the news yet. But once they do, I'm sure they'll plan something.

Read a couple of hours ago they were still finalizing the contract.

Sportscenter has a subject line of "bills new coach" coming up

Chris Mortensen@mortreport
Doug Marrone's deal with the Buffalo Bills, as @AdamSchefter reported this morning, is for four years.

Marrone will state that this is his dream job. That is why he asked for a 4 year deal. That is when he will find his dream job.

The Bills are on a need to know basis. But rest assured, those who needed to know, knew from day 1.

Presenting rumor, opinion, and fanciful as fact is so much fun!

How big of a mind would it be if he turned the job down and came back?

Just wait until the grand speech at half time of the first Sabres game.

Doh! Should have read Chip's post first.

Half time? :)

That's part of the new NHL collective bargaining. They are only going to play 2 halves instead of three periods.:rolling:

Four year is deal.

Probably $3.5 million per year?

They got him cheap?

Not a done deal, at least as of this afternoon.

Most teams don't annouce a new coach until the contract is signed, and most coaches don't tell their team until it's a done deal.

But of course coaches should be expected to meet with their teams to tell them they are leaving even before it's a done deal, even though they are across the country and having multiple meetings in the middle of the night.

Filed a story to the D&C indicating Marrone remains the frontrunner, but nothing confirmed. Long day. Hopefully, confirmation comes Monday.

There are these people called agents that actually work out the deal.

The bills go at their own unpredictable pace with press conferences. maybe they have to wait for ralph to wake up from a 72 hour nap before getting his thumb print
